A Registry may contain one or more Registers. A Register contains items of a single item class. Since the same information elements are recorded for all items on the Register, this is the simplest structure to manage. A Multi-part Register contains items from different classes organised into sections based on the information elements recorded for each class.

R1 | DGIWG Symbol Register | 0.1 | 2024-06-25 | The DGIWG Symbol Register provides a visual representation of symbols, draw instructions, and downloadable graphics (these will be available soon). Composed symbols are uniquely identified by a Symbol Object Identifier (SO_####) and further described with uniquely identified Symbol Components (P,L,A#####). Symbols are discoverable and searchable based on the features or concepts that they have been assigned to within DGIWG’s 252-1,2,3-DTM50, 130-Web Symbology, and NATO STANAG 3675. | |
